Daily Drinker Report

This time, we went with a wine we randomly found in our offsite cellar--a 2006 Chateau Bonnin Pichon. We have no idea what we paid for it years ago, but it's probably a $25 bottle now. We've stored it at 55 degrees for probably 6 or 7 years, at least. Maybe longer.

Good color with no bricking. Nose of leather, tobacco, earth. Dark cherry at the front of the palate mixed with vanilla and forest floor and leather. Still pretty astringent. Shorter finish with a little bitter herb at the end of the palate. Tasty for sure, but not hugely complex anymore. Drink now! Offers great qpr, and gives you an old bordeaux taste without the price. Buy if you can find any! 88-89
