1986 Cheval Blanc is Perfection

It's not everyday you get to try a real legendary wine that was perfectly stored and aged since release. Cameron recently had that experience. For those not familiar, Cheval Blanc is a Cab Franc and Merlot centric "first growth" estate in Saint-Emilian, in the "Right Bank" of Bordeaux. It's not easy to find--especially well aged--and always runs several hundred dollars a bottle. Cameron was fortunate enough you try it thanks to the extreme generosity of our great friends Kirk and Rhonda at their Dallas wine shop La Cave! It really was drinking fantastic today. Tons of graphite, pencil shavings, leather, earth, and mushrooms. Exactly what the wine is supposed to taste like at 32. Very special experience! If you ever find a bottle, or want to stop by La Cave for a bottle, we highly recommend it.
